*                Understand the structure of a typical documented Environmental Management System

Investors in People Workshop Events

Internal Reviewer training

This is a nationally approved 2 day course designed to ensure that people are provided with the skills and knowledge to become an effective Internal Reviewer.  On completion of the training, internal reviewers are able to gather evidence against the requirements internally and to understand where they currently stand against the Framework.  Internal Review is a powerful tool in maintaining IIP recognition and ensuring continuous improvement.

Investors in People Framework - Diagnostic workshop

Objectives of the workshop:

At the end of the workshop delegates will:

·  Appreciate the ethos behind Investors in People and what the standard aims to achieve

· Have a better understanding of the requirements of organisations working towards Investors in People recognition. 

· Have identified  how your organisation is currently performing against the mandatory elements of the Investors in People framework

· Appreciate the benefits of becoming Investors in People

Preparing for Assessment/Review

The first two sessions of the day will give you an understanding of:

  • The background and development of the Investors in People Standard and what it is all about
  • Key revisions to the Standard
  • The extended Framework
  • The potential benefits to your organisation through working with the Standard and the Framework
 After the final two sessions of the day, you should have an understanding of:
  • The Assessment and post-recognition Review process and what Assessors look for as evidence
  • Which elements of the Framework could be most appropriate for your organisation to be assessed against to ensure you gain feedback on the wider business issues that matter most to you.
  • The Review options available to you for maintaining your recognition as an Investor in People organisation.
 You will also have begun to identify specific objectives to ensure the Assessment/Review process adds maximum value to your organisation and you will have been able to share good practice and had an opportunity to network.

Celebration Events

Celebration High Tea

A pleasurable and informal event designed to either celebrate your success with Investors in People or chat and share ideas with other organisations.  Intended to be informative for all companies at various stages during their journey.

The format of the afternoon is as follows:

  • Drinks and an opportunity to meet your fellow guests.  Some group photographs maybe taken also at this time.
  • High Tea
  • Plaque & certificate presentations. to eligible organisations. Again you maybe invited to participate in a group photograph.

New style plaques are available to all organisations at a charge of £100+VAT.  If you are a Gold, Silver or Bronze organisation, we are offering you the opportunity to purchase the plaque with the plate engraving appropriate to the status achieved i.e. Gold, Silver or Bronze.  Any orders should be emailed to info@wmqc.co.uk and must be received at least 1 week prior to the event.

The House of Lords is currently debating the Equality Bill, a major piece of legislation which aims to improve and simplify laws on discrimination and equal treatment.  The Bill will strengthen the Equality Statutory Duty on Public Bodies and suppliers through Public Procurement.  

This seminar will provide an overview of what your company will be required to demonstrate as evidence of compliance that  your equality practice meets a contracting authority’s requirement, in addition to raising awareness of equality and diversity and its increasing impact on business.
